Sharples. --- [Page 1:] [Stamps to value £23-10-0] [Stamp: PRODUCED - INLAND REVENUE - FINANCE ACT 1931] Conveyance of a Mansion House called "Holly How" situated in Church Coniston in the County of Lancaster This Conveyance is made the first day of June One thousand nine hundred and thirty seven Between Elizabeth Mary Swainson of "Holly How" Coniston in the county of Lancaster a Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages Spinster (hereinafter called "the Vendor") of the one part and Mabel Mary Sharples of 17 Bedford Square London W.C.1 Spinster (hereinafter called "the Purchaser") of the other part Whereas the Vendor is seized of the hereditaments hereditaments hereinafter described in unincumbered fee simple in posession And whereas the Vendor has agreed with the Purchaser to sell the said hereditaments to her in fee simple in possession free from incumbrances but subject as hereinafter mentioned for the sum of Two thousand three hundred and fifty pounds Now this Deed witnesseth: That in consideration of Two thousand three hundred and fifty pounds paid to the Vendor by the Purchaser (the receipt of which sum the Vendor hereby acknowledges) the Vendor as beneficial owner hereby conveys unto the Purchaser All that Mansion House called "Holly How" situate in Church Coniston in the County of Lancaster with the pleasure grounds kitchen garden autbuildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging containing [Page 2:] in the whole by admeasurement Two acres one rood and twenty three perches or thereabouts all which premises are more particularly delineated on the plan drawn on an indenture of Conveyance dated the seventeenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight and made between Alfred Barratt John Porte and William Isaac Barratt of the one part and James William Henry Barratt of the other part and thereon edged green To hold the same unto the Purchaser in fee simple Subject only to the sporting and mineral rights affecting the same reserved to the Lord of the Manor of Coniston In witness whereof the parties hereto have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first before written Signed sealed and delivered by the said Elizabeth Mary Swainson in the presence of [Written & signed] M?
